Hythe-Brockenhurst 12 miles, quiet roads and forest tracksThe crossing from Southampton Town Quay to Hythe is well worth taking for fantastic views of the harbour, and if you've got time to spare in Hythe you can visit the worlds oldest train pier! Details of crossings can be found on the Hythe Ferry website. Quiet roads take you through Hythe as far as Denny Wood campsite. From the campsite, the route follows forest tracks south through attractive woodland, and joins the B3055 to take you into Brockenhurst. Brockenhurst to Bransgore - 8 miles, quiet roads and forest tracksThe route leaves Brockenhurst on the B3055 towards Sway, and re-joins the Forest Track system westwards towards Holmsley. Take care crossing the A35 near Holmsley, and continue towards Bransgore using the forest track and quiet roads. See our online mapping for details of the forest tracks.
